Default onboard air?

I have a grizz 660 and wanting to carry something under the seat for those occasions where one gets a flat. I have a tire plug kit already, so if I hear it going flat I can fix it, but what if it goes all the way flat.

been thinking of one of those small 12volt air pumps, anyone tried to air a flat atv tire with one of those? what about those c02 air cartridges? are they better? any other ideas out there I should consider?

thanks in advance,

scoobie

hehehe... I saw the title of this thread and I got all excited thinking that someone was going to try to hook up an ARB or York air compressor to their utility quad... I guess I just have Jeeping on my mind...

Scoobie, have you considered a manual pump??? The CO2 cartridges run out, the 12v compressors pump kind of slow and can break. A small foot or hand pump may work better. None of these will seat a bead or anything like that, BTW. A little starting fluid and a match will seat a bead though.

i always bring a bike tire pump for flats, it works really well. we actually put a 26" Vampire tire back on the rim after the bead broke on one side...it was amazing, nobody thought it would work, lol.
