I think im going to go for a 32-1 mix. What else do i have to do to mix my own oil, like how do i shut off the stock injection and whats a klotz techniplate and whats the purpose? Sorry so many Qs but this is my first quad, and thanks for all the great responses.

What year did the blaster add the oil injection system? My nephews 98 blaster and the blasters I have seen in the past all have the small oil tank on the left hand side in the rear and is added too under the seat. I am going to assume that the (SR2)
blaster in question has had the injection system removed if you were to run the correct 32 to 1 mix.

SR2,
Why would you want to remove the injection system and what advantage is there to gain?

I removed the oil injection system from my Blaster for fear of it not working properly. I would just rather mix my oil:gas because then I know what it's running. You can buy an Oil Injection Block Off kit from a lot of manufacturers. I just removed the gear inside and all the other things with the injector. You also need to plug up the line going to your carb or you will create a lean mixture. Oh... a Klotz Techniplate is a kind of oil. Klotz (www.klotz.com) is the manufacturer and Techniplate is the type. The advantages would be that you know there is oil in your fuel mixture and a small weight loss.
