Hi, brand new to this forum, and atv repair for that matter. I have an old moto 4 kids atv that the rear end went out of recently. I am appartently wrong in thinking it was a 80cc bike. After purchasing and shipping used parts to my house I discovered that it must be a 100cc bike, since the axle hubs are 4 bolt instead of three. From what now read on the internet forums, all the 80cc's had 3 bolt patterns. Can I swap the splined hubs and still use the axle? Is it the same size? I am sitting at work on the 'puter when I discovered my mistake, and cant put my eyes on it till later, but thought I would ask you guys anyway. If I can't use it, I will have the whole axle assembly from an 80cc for resale to recoup my money, as well as the engine/tranny, and various electrical parts to go along with it. Another thought, is the pinion gear removable from the 100cc? or is it made onto the axle, thereby needing to replace the whole thing? I wish I had looked for that darn vin # and verified what I have in the first place!
