Moto-4 axle interchangable?

Moto-4 axle interchangable?
The wheel axle and wheel collars/hubs on my 1985 YFM200 have worn splines so I've searching for new parts. Everything axle I find for it has a diagram of 3x3 hubs on it, yet my hubs are 4x100(or 4x110). Is it likely a previous owner changed the hubs to a newer year? Also, I have found axles in better shape but they are a few years newer(up to 1989) than mine but still a YFM200, would these be compatible with my axle hub?
