timberwolf loose axle
Hello
My timberwolf 250 the rear axle spline is loose a bit i mean i go forward it make tock and go backward tock... Some loose..
Any idea if i can add grease to make it last for long?
or loctite ? Duct tape each week?
it 358$ a new gear and the axle is idk how much...

The axle shaft is often a lot more worn than the crown wheel as the axle is softer steel. If the crown wheel is not too bad but the shaft is nearly shot, it may be best to get a new shaft before any more damage is done to the crown wheel. If they are both nearly gone I use a hard grease, but they won't last long. Make sure the nuts that hold the shaft in place are tight, it is these coming loose that does the damage, though Honda 420 axles can come loose with the nuts mad tight and Loctited.
