1998 Big Bear 350 4x4 - Safe to stand up/roll back on rear
I have a '98 Big Bear and I'm having trouble accessing the motor oil drain plug. I was wondering if it was safe, on this model, to stand the atv up on its rear end/rack so that the bottom is vertical. I have read that sometimes this can cause oil to get where you don't want it, depending on the model.
Thank you so much for your input.

I sometimes put quads onto their backsides to work on them, most often the 450 & 700 King Quads, in order to weld the frame. Some Big Bears still have unsealed batteries, which could leak, and I would turn the fuel tap off to prevent fuel from dribbling from the float bowl. I visited a big machinery auction a couple of years ago and a truck from Ireland was loading used quads bought at the sale, all the bikes were loaded upright, so tight together they wouldn’t be able to move on the sea journey to Ireland.
Big Bear sump plugs can be tight, that big flange gets quite a grip, I once had to chisel one off.
