Default Yamaha wolverine

Hello everyone! So I have a quick question. I have a 2003 Yamaha wolverine 350 stock except high performance spark plug and air filter (k&n)and it tops at right around 46 MPH! so my question is how fast will I probably be able to get it with the warn 424 diff switch, hmf slip on, no air box lid, and a fan behind the radiator to keep the quad much cooler

unless you are only doing speed runs and planning on having small tires i would not change the diff, they are geared high to be 4x4 and if you gear it up anymore you will have no power. I had one and it bogged down several times in first with the stock diff

The diff switch allows me to change iit between 2wd and 4wd because it is all time 4wd

With the mods, you will maybe reach 47 mph, and that's just because your rpm will increase. Your top speed will only be changed if you increase the rpm and the gear ratio, I'm not sure you can change the gear ratio, isn't the Wolverine shaft-driven?

Sounds like something is not right.
My lower geared 1989 heavier 350 Big Bear could do 45mph,it was screaming mind you, and my 350 Grizzly almost hits 48mph and that's with 26" mud tires.
The lighter taller geared 350 Wolverine should get over 50mph and cruise no problem.

Well I did notice my throttle stop screw was all the way in and I was using an unreliable phone GPS so I'm getting a trail tech next week and see what I can get it up to

I Remember a old Dirtwheels shoot out between a 350 Wolverine and the 350 Rancher and the Wolverine just wasted the 350 Rancher in the acceleration and top speed part.

I ride with a 350 Rancher and his top end is 45mph. My 350 Grizzly does a slow jog pace past him.

I never rode or rode with a 350 Wolverine but from what I read they can almost do 55mph stock.

Like mention Dirtwheels did mention the Wolverines rather tall gearing which allows for the much faster top speeds .
The 1st gear is like a typical 2nd gear on most utility 4x4s. This hurt it in the slow technical rough bush trail crawling part.

Well when I get my trail tech I will definitely try again and see what happens! Maybe something holds mine back?? Idk could you give me a few ideas why mine doesn't go over 46? Thanks

And as for my low end that sucker has a punch, a friend of mine rode it and said it was about equivalent to a 500! He said it dominated his 400 utility 4×4
