2006 yamaha bruin 350 shutting down
My bruin runs great for about 5 min or so, but then it will sputter and die. It is usually preceded with a big backfire from the exhaust, then it shuts off. I give it a minute, and it starts back up, but it'll die in another few minutes. It's pretty consistent. I can't get it to run more than 5 min or so (with the exception of idling. It'll idle for 10 min or more). I've mentioned before that the little hose coming off the bottom of the bowl of the carb will drip gas for a bit after the bike is turned off. It used to dump alot of gas, but we thought we fixed it once we fixed the choke cable that was stuck.
Anyway...our theory is that it is somehow sucking up too much fuel, and that is causing it to shut down. My buddy and I are gonna take the tank off and get into the carb to see what the problem might be, but it would be nice to go into it with a couple ideas as to what the problem might be.
Thoughts?
