Default atv batteries

What is the best battery for atv's.They don't last very long even with a battery tender.I have replaced batteries about every two years. Do I need a better battery tender? Who makes a better battery tender. I have a deltran battery tender.

Batteries should last longer than two seasons on a tender, even the plain old lead acid batteries that you have to add distilled water to when they get low. Some have had good luck with plain old Wally World maintainers, and even their Everstart batteries, but I like Yuasa or Interstate batteries along with the Yuasa battery tender I have now. I have a AGM Yuasa battery that's over 6 years old now.Costlier, but worth the money. You might check the charging system on your machine also. If it's not charging close to 14 volts while running, could be a regulator problem that's draining batteries down as you ride, shorting out cells and may not be your battery tenders fault.See if this helps on different type batteries. http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/tec...attery_basics/

I store my snowmobiles all summer and my ATVs all winter and the batteries last at least 4 year or more. I do not take them out of the machines or use a tender and store them in a shed.
I just use the Cheap Wal-Mart EverStart batteries.
At most I may start the machine up once a month and let it idle for 10 minutes.

Subscribed, I also have issues getting batteries to last. The ones in the quads and the jet ski end up getting replaced every 2-3 years. I've mostly gotten them from Sears (my dad is retired from them and gets a discount)
