help, I have a 2006 450 Kodiak , runs real strong in 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive but when I push the dfif lock button to go into full time 4 wheel drive it's start to sputter and backfire and can't get more than 6kms an hour out of her, anybody out there with a similar problem, the diif lock engages I can here the servo doing it's thing but it runs out bad when locked into full time, anybody help me with this, thnx....

I have a 05 450 Kodiak the manual if you have one will tell you you'll have to hold in the kill switch on the left handle bar and may have to give it a few moments to engage as theres a limit control on it. Normally this is needed when you exceed 35 km. Also if the speedometer reads kinda screwey at this time there may be an electrical problem.
I know what you mean on this and mine will do it at a lot lower speed like yours until I remember the kill switch.
