Default 1999 yamaha warrior problem - Throttle problem

I have a 1999 Yamaha warrior, I just got it about 2 months ago and I am having problems with it, the problem I am having is everytime I try to push the throttle in all the way it dies out everytime. I am not to sure what might be causing this if the carb needs cleaned or if it is something to do with the idle screw. Because it also idles at different rpms sometimes. It will be high at one moment and then go back to normal. If anyone can help me with these two problems that would be great. I just want to go riding...

It could be trash in the main jet in the carb. You could take the carb bowl off, remove the jets and clean them out, then reinstall everything. Also make sure your rubber boot between the airbox and carb is not torn/leaking.
