I had an 03' back in the day, and I loved that thing! The torque was immense and it was very fast. I'm sure you'll like it. As far as mods go, I had a Yoshimura full exhaust system, K&N filter (Pro-Flow I think?), and of course I had it re-jet it. This really opens the Raptor up. If you want to mess with the geometry of the suspension, I recommend you replacing the axle with a longer one since the raptor is kind of tippy (stands tall) and wheelie happy.

YFZ has identified the real problem with the 660 Raptor, which is it's handling. Getting a wider rear axle and some wider A-Arms would be where I spend my money first. In stock form the Raptor has plenty of power (a LOT more than the warriors you are familiar with) to get you into trouble, so keeping it shiny side up would be your best initial investment...once you get it to stay on all wheels going around the corners then you can up the power

Spending $400 or even $300 on an exhaust is a waste of money for the minimal gain you'll get- and you'll just end up pissing everyone else off who has to listen to it. I'd starts with suspension / chassis mods- then work on upgrading the internal top end like your piston, cam & ignition. Your bike will breath fine through the factory pipes.
