Angry Electrical problem big bear 1991/1998

I'm trying to start my YFM350FWB (K) been abandoned for years outside, Replaced coil, CDI box, new battery so far no spark.
Question No.1 Should there be juice 12v or? at the connection of the wires to the coil one is a ground the other orange wire goes to the cdi should it have juice at rest or during crancking or at any time.
From reading some posts does the voltage reg have a role here?
Please Help
