if its fuel injected you can't touch the exhaust cam. in order to do the cam mod on those you need to get an 06-08 intake cam and install it. that is the cam mod for the fuel injecteds

You can do it if your mechanically inclined. You must be patient and very careful. One slip and you'll be either splitting the case to fish out parts or doing a top end rebuild.

The zip tie mod is in the carburetor. You won't have to tear into it or even remove it. To access it just take the throttle side cover off the carb.

Default Cam mod

So I got the cam mod all done and its running good no problems. I took a look at the zip tie mod and Im not going to use a zip tie. Thats to skechy the head of the zip tie hits the cover. And I tried to put the zip tie on 3 or 4 different ways and went out and bought different sizes. Ill just go buy a better spring or use wire seems safer.

Congrats. I know exactly what your saying about the zip mod. I did it quite a while back and thought the same thing. Sure enough couple weekends ago I had to re-jet due to a knew exhaust and sure enough I checked and it had slid off. : \

I never did the cam mod so while waiting on my jets to get in I just tore into her. Actually think it was the weekend before your post. Got a little seat time but, didnt have time for much. Had crazy weather here in OK. It maybe (probably) my imagination but, man it seems the sound is different. More like a dirtbike sound. Eh, sure it was my excitement playing with me. I'm still not accustomed to the Barker sound either.
