Default bear tracker 250

I am working on a bear tracker 250 from early 2001, this quad has only 30 hours on it. When it found its way here it was dead and really dirty inside and out. I did the usual treatment of a long carb cleaning and battery charging. Flushed out the fuel tank cleaned the pet ****, and it started right up with out choke. I have no control over the idle I have run the screw all the way in and then all the way out no change. I think it must be leaking air around the intake manifold, would that cause the racing idle. Oh yea i only let it run for about 40 seconds at a time the exhaust starts to turn red hot. I do not know it all but I do know that is not right.

Well i pulled it apart again and checked, intake boot still has great seal and no cracks holes or anything. Also checked hose from air box to carb it also is in great condition. Should i try going up one size on the pilot jet to add more fuel to the mix. Any help would be great at this point.
