Question carb adjustment issues

if I take a ride and the pipe glows cherry the hole way to my silencer do I need a bigger main jet or switch the needle clip. took for about a 4 min. ride nothing over half throttle other than 3-4 burst and didn't idle I did notice when I got back at idle cherry went away some any. not realy sure what all the jets and adjustments do

I talked to about 6 other guys that have yfz they all say a little cherry is ok but not to the silencer I had a 200 main installed and the needle clip at the first setting and it was still getting alittle cherry but when you got on it you could tell it was loading up.
I'm just not sure what to play with next main or needle I was also told just to change one thing at a time that way your adjustments don't get confusing. I'm already confused??? I know yfz are high strung from stock but I totaly built mine not all out but I think it upped the hp around 17-21. it was also getting dark so the glow showed better than it would in the day light
