don't spend the extra $150 to have it polished when you may only see a .1 hp gain

Get on either www.moddedraptor.com or www.raptorforum.com and contact velociraptor. He is from AL and does EXCELLENT work at a resonable price and his customer service is second to none. I added about 15 horses to my raptor with his port work, a megacycle X2 cam, and a 12:1 piston. I am not sure if he works on the wolvy heads or not but I do know he does raptors, YFZ heads, and vettes. A port and polish job is only as good as the guy doing it.

A port and polish will do a lot for performance IF it is done right. A bad port and polish job could even cost you power. A port and poish job will increase the CFM's a head is capable of flowing and smooth out any rough areas within the head so there is not as much disturbance in the airflow.

Polishing won't by itself but porting and polishing will, ask any engine builder.
I have rode 700 raptors with comparable mods to what mine has without the head work and there is a very noticable difference in the power.

polishing after porting is what i ment.. there's a thread somewhere about it where a guy did it and saw almost no more power. it's all show.
