Question Raptor 700 burning oil

My 2006 Raptor 700 is burning oil. I do all trail riding and have alot of miles on my quad. I have been told you can smell the oil burning while riding behind me. Is this my rings??? thats what a guy up north said. If it is the rings and i just keep adding oil when I ride what will happen???

Thanks

If then rings are going bad its just going to get worse, adding oil might keep you going thru the end of the season but eventually its going to be time for new rings/top end. Do you notice a lot of smoke???
