If the valves are too tight, they can fail to close completely after it gets hot. This would cause you to lose compression, but maybe only after riding for a while. I would definitely recommend getting a shop manual for it before attempting to do the valve adjustment or any other major maintenance or repair. Where are you located?

Im in Brampton Ontario Canada and yes a munual is in the works, I had the bike running again and I was able to rev it up but still bogging so Im pretty sure its carb related now. I just have to get the carb kit now. I tell you im becomming an expert at re and reing the carb.

Just got off the phone with local yami dealer, get this $133.00 for the diaphram Are You Kidding me and they dont sell a carb kit he said to just give him a list of what I need. NICE EH!!!

That certainly puts a new face on teh torch don't it? That's pretty much a rape price..... That diaphragm probably only costs 15 cents to make huh..... Sorry about the troubles. I have found anything I can buy and get "normal" quality with,.... is definitely purchased somewhere besides the dealership.

Have you tried Bikebandit.com?
