The only time at silver lake my banshee got beat by a 450 was if it had something really done to the motor.. usually an ice-cube motor( which only had me by about 5 till the end when he pulled away slowly)
these were probabaly 600-800 ft races though
it was just a stock ported,stock stroke, .060 over banshee with t-4's, no lid, milled head and lightened flywheel.

The Banshees motor could of been wore out too. Which is easy to do on any high rever, Not broken mind you, they just need to be freshened up now and then, Most of the ones I ever saw got rode pretty hard, always. They always sounded best at full throttle. lol
