Question 2001 660 raptor problem/ help needed!

well i started my 01 660 up today and started to take a normal ride
on the local back rode highway today and the raptor seemed to do fine in 1st,2nd,and 3rd gears, but when i when to 4th and 5th it was fine for a while but then started a load scraping noise(doesn't sound like gears grinding) from the engine, and it was slowing the atv down like a brake was being held but it would stop doing this when i pulled the clutch in.

any ideas on this issue?

I know you said it didn't sound like gears, and I don't know if you know this already...but the 2001 raptors have a known gear issue. Do a search on here, there's a few threads about it. Sorry, only help I could think of bro... GL
