Default New Carb for warrior?

My warrior has starting issues even when i pull the choke it does not make any differance. I think the carb needs to be rebulit it also leaks gas all the time.

Whats a good aftermarket carb for the warrior?

Where does it leak gas? If its coming from the bowl overflow tub - its flooding. Tell us a little more before you start throwing $ at it....it may be a simple fix.

Does it run at all? Have you done anything to quad, or more specifically anything to the carb - like re-jetting, etc? Do you know where you pilot jet screw is set?

I have been fixing up a 89 warrior haven't touched the carb yet and yes it runs fine once you get it started also idles. fine

Gas leaks/drips from the bottom of the carb out of a tube. It also leaks when you stand it up on the rear grap bar, i shouldnt say leak more like runs out but i have not tryed to find where its coming from yet as i need a friend to look. I havent touched the jetting yet. Bike runs fine and does not bog.

edelbrock makes a pretty nice carb for the warrior but there not cheap around $400, if you have a few mods they respond real well to it otherwise if your bike is near stock you wont get that much of a performance gain to it, just nice throttle response and east starting, ive seen people fit z400 carbs on warriors also, with a raptor350 intake boot it will bolt right up but you have to change a few things, the warriors carbs can be a real pain to tune right.

Your float is sticking if its leaking out the hose on the bottom of the carb. As for when you stand it up that could be the same thing, or if you are on a full tank sometimes the cap leaks or it can run out that vent tube.

Just pick up a can of carb cleaner and set aside a few hours to go ahead and take the carb completely apart and give it a thorough cleansing. If you see a hole anywhere inside the carb, spray it. Take the jets out and clean them as well. Check the condition of your accelerator pump spring as well while you have it apart. If its looking pretty bad you can change it out with a spring of comparable length. from a "clicking" ball point pen--a little firmer is fine.

Finally, before putting the float bowl back on just make sure you have free motion of the float and you should be ready to rip.

along with the spray carb cleaner if you have compressed air (air compressor)blast the inside of the carb with some air, there are some very small parts so be carefull not to lose any, get a rebuild kit, there pretty cheap, there shouldnt be any reason for a new carb unless something is broke, alittle time and patience is all it should need, I just rebuilt mine on my 93 warrior, I sware I must have removed and installed the carb 8-10 times but it runs great now.
