id say for a beginner id go for the raptor
i had a 2006 raptor 350 and i ran the S**t out of it and it kept on goin
in my opinion youd get bored with the blaster sooner then you would the raptor
its a good lil begining quad
jus wasnt fast enough for me

The Rap250 has a smaller frame, as well, and many times doesn't fit a person of decent girth or height very well.
