Yamaha Timberwolf Valve Clearance
usually its easier on ya if you remove the gas tank,spark plug, then remove the two little valve covers on the head and the cam cover, set the engine to Top Dead Center and make sure its on compression stroke, usually you gotta pull a cover off to get to the bolt on the crankshaft so you can turn it over to get it aligned, make sure you turn it counterclockwise, then you just use a flat feeler gauge and slide it in between the rocker and valve. to adjust you gotta use a wrench to backoff the valve adjuster locknut and turn it with a screwdriver to move it up and down, do this when u have the correct spec measurement on your feeler until theres a slight resistance on it when u move it between the rocker and valve. if theres no resistance felt or it wont slide in then you know you gotta adjust it with the little locknut, when your tightening the bolt make sure you hold the little valve adjuster still so it doesnt move while your adjusting. then when its tightened make sure you recheck to make sure its correct. i dont know what your clearances are supposed to be but usually alot of bikes are around... Intake:0.15-0.20 mm and exhaust 0.18-0.23 mm or something but id make sure u know what it is on that model.
