Default 1987 warrior starting issue

Wandering if I can get any help here, my 87 warrior has always ran good the past couple years it wouldn't start with the electric starter it will turn the motor over fine but won't fire. I've since rebuilt the starter changed the plug and this week got a brand new stator assembly, it will start and run fine if I use the pull starter with the electric or just the pull start, it also has been shutting off after 15-20 of riding and then won't start agian this machine has been well cared for all its life anyone have any suggestions on what to check next?

it makes me think its an electronic part or some wiring that might be bad. when the machine heats up is when it acts up. id check the wiring to the coil and from the stator etc. it could be something as small as a corroded fuse block. its 21 years old so its gonna start having issues.
