Not allways, If you put aftermarket parts on they can void your warranty if the dealer want's to be nasty about it. I had it happen on my 2002 raptor at a different dealer

it all depends on the dealerships attitude and how big of a prick the service manager wants to be.. my guess is they got internally audited by yamaha and got in trouble and thats why they are bein pricks about it. the mechanics get paid eaither way by yamaha warranty or not it makes no difference to them. on the other hand there is no such sensor on a raptor that would ever be able to tell them that and if i am wrong tell them your into freestyling your stock quad
