Default 660 bogs down during wheelies

My 05 660 bogs down during wheelies. The more vertical I get it bogs down and can't ride the wheelie. Any suggestions?

sounds to me that you might be losing fuel out of your carb bowl overflow hose when vertical causing it to bog down. i would stand the bike up vertical and check to see if there's fuel comming out of the hose. if that isn't the case then your float may be getting stuck open too much allowing too much fuel into the carb while vertical.

the hose should be comming from the bottom of the carb. float bowl. it's a long black hose. if it's comming out of that hose you just might need to adjust your float level. did you stand it up and see if fuel comes out of the hose?

in order to do that you have to take the carb off the bike and take out the four little screws holding the bowl to the carb. than hold the carb. upside down and measure your float level with a small ruler. if your level is off then you have to adjust it to the right level. to do so you have to push out the pin holding the float on. and then take a small screw driver and gently bend the metal tab on the float up or down and then reinstall and remeasure.

i dunno what your level should be so if you have a service manual it will come in handy. if you do not have one you can get one off e-bay for like 20-30 bucks.

Fuel is coming out of two black hoses attached to the carb. However I don't have a manual and don't want to wait for the shipping of a new one. Does anyone know the measurement for the float on a 660 05 raptor

Not quite. The screw at the bottom of the float bowl is for draining the float bowl only. The brass tube, which sticks up into the float bowl is always open , and can not be shut off. Its a vent and an over flow. I have a picture in my gallery of the inside of the float bowl, showing the brass tube.

Well I adjusted the floats according to a guy on bluetraxx.com. He said the fuel leaking is normal, its an old topic I never asked questions. I tipped my raptor on the back bar and i noticed fuel pouring into my air filter so something doesn't seem right. Every other four wheeler I see can ride wheelies forever, but mine will not because it can't breathe air and fuel at the same time, so obviously something needs adjusted any suggestions?

Are the baffles, which surround the main jet, at the bottom of the float bowl....still attached, not broken, missing?
