Default Wolverine 450 needs help

Hi I've got an '08 Wolverine. Today it started well in my garage, but there was a hissing noise. Outside it starts when the choke is on full and then cuts out.

Only thing I can think of is I submerged it end of NOV. rode it once in Dec. and it was fine, and then today no go. There was some water in the air box. I dropped it off at the dealer-but I don't want to get ripped off. Any similar expereinces.

On another note anyone put aftermarket shocks on the bike. We all know it needs it! How do encrease the acceleration. I like the bike, and its a real winner in the bush compared to the big 4 bys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Elka shocks on my bike and they're great! Huge difference over stock. They'll help you ride faster but won't make you go faster. Check out the EPI clutch kit for a boost in acceleration. Also a free flowing intake and exhaust hill help a lot.

If you want more acceleration all the way through the epi helps a lot. Then filter and exhaust will too. Also you can port and polish the head and put in a webcam.

But if you want the real power check out the fst 488 kit and camshaft.

How long did you have it running in the garage? If it was a while maybe there was still some ice or water melting off. As far as outside you might have some water in your gas or in your carb that is frozen up and not letting it run right.

I agree. The ice part would depend on where you are but, it sounds like water in your carb. or gas. The hissing sound may just be normal and you hear it now because you have a problemand you looking for something.
You say you dropped it off a the stealer but did not want to get ripped off. What did they tell you?

I pretty much figured it was water in the carb. and it needs an oil change. Dealer has not told me anything yet, dropped it off last night.
Which Elka shocks did you go with?

i had the same problem except my would only idel with the choke off and when i would try to throtle up it would just die. when i took it to the dealer, they told me i had got water in the gas. i still havent figured out how it got in there, beside the night befor i was to lazy to but it in the garage and it snowed. and allso the dealer told me i had oil in the air filter wich was from rolling it. but the thing is i rolled it 4 days befor that and it ran fine after that. but anyways it cost me 36 dallors to drain the tank and a gallon of gas, and to clean the air filter. hope i was some help!!
