anyone know anything about the older model big bears?

 

I had the older 350 Big Bear. They screams out in top gear at only 45 mph and rides rough but it was super reliable. I should of kept it as a second ATV rather than double the odd person without a ATV on some days.

 

I'm buying the 96 Big Bear as an extra also. I have owned a 99 Big Bear and it is still super reliable to this day and I sold it to my uncle in 2001. I know the 99 didnt have low range but had a low first gear, but I ran upon a really clean 96 model but I didnt know if the older models with low range were known for any type of problems or anything. The ONLY thing I didnt like about the 99 was that it didnt have low range. The one I sold my uncle is his backup now, for 6 years he has pulled cars around his shop, and weekend riding on it and the only thing he has done is tuned it up and replaced a seal on the rear end. Now his daughter follows his polaris 700 everywhere on the Old Bear with 27" Super Swampers. So if the 96 is as reliable as the 99 then it will be a keeper.
