NEED SOME TIRE SUGGESTIONS-PLEASEE
Thinking about dumping my dunlop stockers and getting a GOOD tire for my grizz 700se. I have read in atv mags that claim they have the best tire and the lightest on the market today?? I would like some input from a true grizz rider on which tires would be the LIGHTEST and an all-around, all-condtions tire. I do not mud -bog, only trail ride on hardpack and loose dirt. Any help on which tire to buy in a 26" will be helpful. THANX!!!

Lightest all around tire will probably be the ones that are already on it. The good aftermarket tires have a strong tendency to be heavy because they're built to last, unlike the cheap dunlops. I think your best bet for a good trail tire that's not ridiculously heavy would be AMS Swamp Fox or Interco Swamplites. Both are a good durable tire that gets traction in any condition and rides smooth. I prefer the swamplites myself because they have a sportier feel to them, and don't tear up the riding surface as much as most tires.

What does a heavier tire hurt? I mean how much more do the Bighorns weigh over the stock tires? 5lbs each?
I am in the same budget mode... once I can get them.. I am getting the 25" Bighorns for my Grizz</end quote></div>
5lbs over stock? more like 15lbs over stock each. The Maxxis Zilla (not Mudzilla) is the lightest 4x4 tire I've found on the market. If you don't care about how well they run in mud get something like the Holeshot ATR or the Maxxis All Trak.

The Holeshot ATR's are very light, handle great and hook up like crazy! The Maxxis All Track are nice but not radials and only 2 ply. The Maxxis 4 Speed are nice tires also, we have a set on my wife's Grizzly and she loves them (way better than the stock tires).
