If you don't want to ***** with anything else than the Stage2 Hotcam is the way to go. However, I HIGHLY recommend you go to www.webcamshafts.com and get their racing grind cam, with the .430" lift. That cam requires new valve springs, but that also means it is really making a difference. It is much better than the HotCam, and you will be pleased. Of course, to take advantage of the added flow of a cam a good HMF slip-on pipe and a K&N Air filter would be great additions as well.

What mods do you have now? If your engine is completely stock then a cam isn't going to do much, and too much cam on a stock engine will probably kill your bottom end power some. You need a pipe, filter, and jet kit 1st, then a cam. After you have those mods a Hotcam would be OK if you didn't want to do the valve springs, but to me, a Hotcam on a Warrior is a waste of time. If you look at the specs, a Hotcam doesn't provide much duration & lift over stock, that's why you don't need the valve springs. So what's the point of installing it? To me if a mod doesn't make a NOTICEABLE difference in power then it's a waste of time & money. Like Beef said, go with the Webcam, get the springs, turn in the cam core and you will be glad you did.

One other thing, if you look at the lobes on a Hotcam, they look similar to the stock lobes, but on the .430" Webcam the lobes are more egg-shaped and are huge compared to stock, and that's what you want if you are trying to make power.

Is the 400 stock? If it is, a 10.5:1 compression piston, the Webcam with valve springs and some nice rear tires should do the trick.

Nah, actually it's a '04 Raptor 350 frame and actual Raptor 350 plastics with all of my Warrior stuff bolted on. That kit from maier sucks. The Maier plastics look nothing like the real Raptor 350. I started out with Raptor 350 plastics on my Warrior frame, but it turned out all of the mounting tabs were completely different. I had welded new tabs on the Warrior frame to mount the Raptor fenders but it didn't turn out like I planned because I couldn't fabricate factory-looking tabs, so that's when I just bought a Raptor frame.
