Default Wolverine 450 rims/tires lift clutch question

I have an 07 Wolvy and am about to order some 27 in itp mud lite xtr's or xl's on 14 in ss112's and was wondering if anybody would know if they will fit fine or will i need to get a lift kit for it? what lift would be the best? What clutch kit would be best for oversize tires? I would also like to know what would be the best shocks to replace the stock ones with.

I believe the 27 will actually fit. I know perfex makes a lift kit for the wolvy but I dont know of anyone else that offers one at this time.

As far as a clutch kit I would get the epi clutch kit for oversized tires and the elevation that you ride.

As far as shocks I have heard really great things about the ELKA shocks but they aint cheap. about 1600 if I remember from talking to them about a set. But you could also check into some cheaper works shocks.

If you really want the power to turn those 27s you could contact FST about the 488 or 500 kit

no the elka shocks are not cheap and i will have to wait on that for now. where can i get a perfex lift kit? I can't seem to find one for the wolvy. I will have to check out the fst 488 kit. how much of a difference will it make?

The 488 kit from fst is very nice but it aint cheap I ended up with about 1400 in the bbk after labor and everything.

I have enough power to pull up wheelies at will without having to shift my weight much at all. On an uphill grade it will pull a wheelie with me on the handlebars and scrape the rear rack.

The perfex lift kit is made by hebco and i am trying to get their website info.

I still can't find a lift kit for my wolvy. Which clutch kit would be better epi or hauke? I ordered the 27in mudlite xtr's with 14in ss112 rims for $725 shipped. Should I get wheel spacers or will they be fine the way they are? I found some 1.5in billet spacers for $120.

Epi is just replacement springs and it does help out a lot with low end torque. With the hauck racing clutch you will have to disassemble the clutch send it to them and they will remachine it to do what you want it to do according to your mods that you have on the machine.

With the tires on yours I would do the epi just incase you decide that you dont like the 27's and want to go back to stock you will still be able to go back easily and without much expense.

I would say get some spacers due to adding as much height as you are with the tires. I like the billet hub spacers as well.

I took ctateusa1s' advice and got the clutch kit for my Kodiak 450 after I lifted, widened and put on rims and tires... the kit was one of the best investments made as I can now wheelie over small burms and carry it out for a pretty good distance. Enough length acually, that the guys I ride with who have 660 or 700 Grizzlies stand back and say "What the F@#k did you feed that thing?! Eh?!" Mission accomplished... thanks ctateusa1!!!
