I own a 2007 yamaha wolverine 450 SE and i was wandering how deep of water/mud can the wolvi go through before it starts to hurt the engine? I have gone through some creeks where the water came up close to the radiator but i didnt want to go through anything deeper without knowing how deep it can really go before it starts to get damaged.

I have been over the headlights several times without any problems. As long as you keep forward momentum and dont let the water get in the airbox or the exhaust you will be fine.

i have mine up to the handle bars- and some in the exhaust- still runs perfect

 

wow. i have heard about the wolverines having good intake and something about more holes are in it or something like that

 

well the intake is pretty good. The actual opening is under the gas tank so it is partly shielded from getting much water in it.

 

Any thing much over the tires is asking for problems. Ive doe it. stalled because of steam and the water tide took me out for a few hrs.
