Default Just got 06 Raptor 700

I am looking for some help. I just bought an anniversary edition raptor 700. It has 1 1/2" inch durablue wheel spacers in the front and 2 1/2 or 3" in the back. Should I take thiese off? Will they mess up the geometry? Also, it has the GYTR full exhuast(including header pipe), air filter, and a cobra programmer for the efi. He has it set on 0-0-0. What should I set it to for the best performance.

I think I got a good buy on it. It has about 7 hours of use it looks brand new. It has all the GYTR performance stuff as listed above plus GYTR shock covers, swing arm skid plate, a-arm skid plates, matching helmet, goggles. I paid 5,000.00. Does that sound like a good price?

Thanks for your help, and I can't wait to ride.

Is there any way to change my username?

I would reccommend taking off the wheel spacers especially if you do much jumping.

Some people run them with no problems but they can cause bump steer and put added stress on your quad.

Sounds like a decent price but I havent priced quads in over a year so not sure lol

Yes i think its a good deal. At my local Yamaha dealer, they have a '06 700R with similar mods as yours and about 6 hrs i think. They are asking $5,495
Which is a decent price too but they are selling their '07's for $6299!!!!

about your baffle . Dont think that would be a good idea, for one your not going to get any proformance gains. two, on a newer quad those baffles are ment to stay put. My partner on his 450 tried the same thing and he couldnt do it. You should just invest on a nice slip-on or full exhaust. No,if you do get it (baffle)off it shouldnt get hot, I could be wrong so double check. think about a slip-on!! _

Look under the muffler just before the tip and you'll see the screw that holds the baffle in. And yes, it makes a noticable difference with it out in both sound and performance. Many guys run with it out with zero problems. As good as a slip on, not as good as a full system.
