I just got an 06' blaster and would like to know how its top speed compares w/ the yamaha
raptor 350s. Thanks for any replies.

 

well i have an 06 blaster, and i have'nt seen any raptor to race next too. but i tell ya i keep up with the big bores

 

I bet one of the reasons it keeps up w/ the big bores is how quick you go through the gears
on it. Ive been keeping up w/ my dads banshee, but I dont know how fast he goes.

 

raptor 350 is faster than ur blaster. my 01 blaster with a pipe was dead even with my dads stock 2000 warrior up till 6th was topped out then he would slowly pull away cause hed have another 2mph top end than me. then with a filter and jet i was faster off the line and he coudlnt catch back up to me top end eaither. i raced a raptor 350 with pipe and filter when they first came out and we did 4 races and i beat him every time except for 1 when i picked the front wheels off the ground on the start. and how do u keep up with big bores?????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] maby if there doin ez trail lideing threw the woods and ur ***** to the wall on ur blaster. my stock raptor ***** on my blaster. my friend got it off me and since the full exhaust filter jets and 20 inch holshots he did a 14 tooth front sprocket, reeds, bigger carb and some other stupid stuff and i wouldnt even say its keeping up. ya he can still c me but thats about it. when i was out at school in pa i would ride with one of my friends and he had a stock 400ex for a mess around bike and i couldnt keep up with that on my blaster. i couldnt keep up with his 450r or 250r eaither. stock to stock the 350 will take a blaster top end. if they both have pipe, filter, and jets the raptor will still take it. they do 56-58 i think. it seems faster just because of how fast u run out the gears and the power band. when i trade with my friend and i get back on my old blaster it feels fast just because of hte power band. then i get on my friends raptor 350 and it feels slow as *****, even tho its not much slower than the blaster. its the way 2 strokes are that make u think its faster than it is.

 

Top speed on a stock raptor is about 58. Thats what I got when I strapped a GPS to mine. I was running on packed sand.

 

i used to have a blaster and then i got a raptor 350 that i have now. From memory and other sources the raptor 350 should have a couple more mph on top end. the blaster will r@pe the raptor 350 off the line though. P.S. how do i start a thread?

 

I never got the chance to GPS my '06 blaster stock as it came from the dealer with an SST pipe and turbine core silencer installed. With the pipe and silencer on, it GPS'd at 59.3 MPH, so I'd have to guess that a stock one is just a mile per hour or two slower than that...I have no idea as to how fast a stock raptor 350 is.

the big bores i'm talking aBOUT ARE THE SPORT UTILITY 700 BIG BORES i can't catch them in the wooods in my back yard since there are multiple rocks and stumps higher than my ground clearance, but when we hit a fire road i pass some of them, and keep up with the crazies. ur raptor 350 is faster plz its a warrior u might need how to shift better and lose some weight fatty!
