I got mine rebuilt at Shock Therapy Racing (Durand, Michigan) for $175. When I bought mine off a raptor forum member, he told me they were in great shape - not true, one was blown and the other was leaking a little oil. They work great now that they've been rebuilt. The guy still owes me $87 and some change for the repairs. Hopefully he'll be honest.....

$175 total.....takes about 1-2 weeks or you can put a two day rush on them for an extra $50. I think they are much better than the stock shocks. I have a couple of jumps 5-6 foot jumps and a small table top behind my house....I can get some awesome air now that I land softly.

I think equivelent Elka's would cost you around $750-$800. I don't think the recreational Elka's w/o Rezzies are as good as the YFZ shocks. JMO

I asked the same questions before and got similar responses.

thats who I talked to and he told me $450.00 better off just selling these shocks and getting elka for $850.00 cause the 06 yfz450 shocks got them for 275.00 with shipping and to give them to TCS is another $450.00 so 275+450+shipping(25)=$750.00 for $100.00 more I can get elkas. If anybody has a hook up with TCS please let me know
Thanks and also what would you do ?????? Elkas or TCS

I personally have not run elkas, but I do know a few that have and they like them.. they are way better than stock.. I run TCS on my 700R... They are extremely good for me...

I am surprised that the revalving of the yfz shocks are $450. That seems a bit high.... Guess I will have to talk to Joe about that and see what the deal is.. It has been a while since I have looked at shocks...

450 sounds like it would be a revalve and resping. This still may seem a little high though, I'd shop around and see what other shops charge for this service.

Let me know what you find, I like the ride of the stock 450 shocks on my 660 with +2/+1 a-arms but I only use it for dunes and trails. If it's worth it I may have them revalved.
