Grizzly 600 tranny problems?
My friend bought a '98 600 Griz, engine runs fine but the tranny seems to slip. We took off the small boot for the breather on the belt housing, and found alot of grease inside, so we took off the belt cover and everything was greasy(someone put WAY too much grease on the clutch so it flew everywhere). So I cleaned everything up, belt sheaves, inside clutch, belt , housing ect ect. until the grease was gone. I Re-greased the clutch properly, put the belt back on and tightened the clutch nut up.
So I took it out and it still drives slow, it doesn't sound or look like the belt is slipping(with the cover off). So what could my problem be??, anyone ever have this problem?? let me know, thanks.

Grizzly 600 tranny problems?
Did you disassemble the secondary pulley ( the driven one)? There are some buttons and a profile they ride in, which needs to be lubed as well.
The belt should probably be replaced if it was coated in grease, and was slipping on the primary sheaves.
Theres also a minimum width on the belt, and right off hand i dont have the number, but that may be part of the problem as well.
