115psi in a banshee is very weak. Your motor should read at least 160, anything under that needs more compression. Cut the head if you need to.

I heard/read that stock compression on the Banshee was Approx. 120lbs.
Is this not correct?

And with a Sears compression tester I doubt that it would read that high even if it was 160??

Yeah a stock banshee motor runs around 120 psi, and for the most part, people dont rebuild until it hits around 90-100. The actron tester i have goes from 0-300. Its about the only one sears has, so hopefully its reliable, i would think so!

stock is 120, but i said a banshee motor "should" be at least 160. Meaning bump your compression to 170 basically.

Looks like the guy has a stock machine, depends on what the cool head is. Your advice on improving the banshee would be welcome, but the compression specs for that kind of machine arent nearly as useful.

The cool head is stock specs on it, there's no motor work because simply i dont need the hassle of worrying about reliability. The way its sittin now is perfectly fine with me. im adding some pipes to it this weekend, thats about all im going to do powerwise on it. But yeah, its stock as far as compression.
