Airport fuel doo contain engine cleaning additives.. but next to nothing it will do very little harm to your engine. Mix it with regular to drop the octane just a little and you will run great!!!!!!

i never said it doesn't contain combustion chamber cleaning aditives all i said is there doesn't seem to be any more than in pump gas which also has cleaning aditives. i was simply stating that a from what i could tell it was not going to take the film of oil off my internals. and why would i want to drop the octane if i have high compression??? from what i read in the link above you would wan't to mix it to get the heavier molocules of gas, not for the purpouse of dropping the octane, remember we are trying to raise the octane big guy.

The only Av gas I have seen is the 100LL at the airport.
Not saying others arent avail, obviously they are, but 100LL is the only one I've seen.
Its EFFECTIVE octane is however, quite a bit higher than 100, so you can't just look at it as only good up to that octane.
Yes, it is safe to run, and is a lot more consistent that pump gas.
It is also a lot cheaper than race gas, though like Dabeech said, it can give a little bit of lazy throttle response. Some people simply advance thier timing to make up for it.
