Here's my thoughts on reverse. I race MX and some places you can't ride straight into the gate, you have to get as close to your spot as you can then get off and muscle it into position. With the nerf bars sticking out, it's not always that easy. And when the adrenilin is pumping before a race the last thing you want to do is wear yourself out trying to get your bike into the gate. On the Raptor, I just pull up and back in. Maybe it's a slight advantage and maybe it's not, but it's one less thing to think about. Besides, if you feel like you have an advantage, that's an advantage in itself. Think about that next time you're getting into the gate.

 

some people need reverse. and youre right the 300ex reverse procedure almost needs a second person.

i dont have a prob with the 450 not having reverse - it tells me its a race quad.

i'm glad my raptor has reverse cuz i am one of those folks who cant muscle a large quad around, but i can sure make it run! hehe

I cant believe they didnt put reverse on it, MX racing is a very small market and most people that race it, run 250r's, etc. Not brand new bikes, and the price, OMG they want a small fortune for that thing $6899???????????????? I like it, and would love to have one, but will not pay that much for a atv with no reverse...

 

Brian, have you ever rode a quad without reverse? Whats the big deal with cutting the wheel and hitting the gas?

 

250r is a 2 stroke, COULD have trouble before long. and its getting old anyway.
raise the bar on MX GNC and GNCC racing.. lets see more of it!
IMHO it's time for a serious race quad to dethrone the 250r!
lets get into the 21st century folks!
