Default Kymco 450i mxu review

So I bought a kymco 450i mxu a few months back and finally got to do some riding. I brought it over to my friends garage to put a winch and plow on it and a blazer pulled in behind me which took 8 weeks. Anyways, figured since it's warm and I wanted to put easy miles on it at first to drive it the 35 miles on atv routes home. Smooth ride, nice suspension, great power and speed (easily does 60) and on my way home stopped at a friends house who was on my route home. He used to work at a powersports store but have never seen a kymco just read about them. He looked it thru up and down and had nothing but good to say. Said one easy tell that anyone can do to test the quality is to bend the plastic. If they chince on that they probably went cheap in a lot of places you can't see. He was impressed with the rigid sturdy plastic. Loved the layout, 2" hitch, IRS, front end. He owns a can-am and after looking at my kymco said he'd consider one next time he was in the market for a new atv. He also was going to tell his brother in law to check them out sense he was in the market for his first wheeler. Anyways, drove her home ran great. A week later we got 20" of wet snow and got to test out the plow. She pushed that snow like nothing was in front of it. I was really impressed with the power.

So far I am very happy with the quality and performance and will keep people posted since it was so hard to find reviews.

I am a big fan of Kymco as well. I had a chance to visit with the factory rep at the recent World AG Expo and see for the first time the MXUs 450i and 750i. I have seen the MAXXER 450i in a dealer showroom, tho I have not ridden one.

In CA, a typical Kymco dealer will have scores of scooters, and only one or 2 quads in stock.

Did you get a chance to compare the MAXXER 450i vs. the MXU 450i?

No they had a huge clearance sale getting their 12 & 13 stock out so they could the 14's on the lot. I got the only 2012 left which was $500 less than the 2013. The maxxer looks to be a ton of fun. I figure I'll keep this 3 years give it to the wife then go 700i LE.
