Yes sir, they are backed up and lack the manpower to service all the crap they sell. Should I mention the lifetime oil chages...just be sure to drop it off and they'll have it back the next day. It's BS.

The 6.0l got a bad rep in 2003 because of the headgasket issue but it was fixed by 2005. Rushed? That 6.0L had been a rock solid engine used in commercial international trucks for years. Ford reported they had fewer late model 6.0l's
coming back for warranty work than they ever did the 7.3l. 35,000 miles and ZERO problems on mine...ok, so I did replace a taillight bulb but that's a whole lot better than I can say for any Chrysler product I've ever owned.

Like I said, only thing wrong with cummins is it has a dodge wrapped around it...and I guess Dodge made the tranny.
sounds more like your dealer is the problem? change the oil yourself its not difficult, from what ive read on altleast 3 different diesel truck forums...all the 6.0 are POS...if not why change to a 6.4..believe me i did the reading, Dodge bad trannies i will give yah that but how bad? 87k on mine w/heavy hauling cant be to bad seems like alot go before warrany is up. got the rap sheet on my truck, belt tensioner, fuel pump and a few minor issues I got 4 years extended...let the tranny go not to conerned, funny thing is I sold a atv to a guy while i was shopping for a truck and i met the guy 1/2 way for the transaction and he shows up in a 04 f250 and i start talking to the guy about them and he said he has had it in a ton of times and wasnt happy with it all under warranty but now that everything has been dealt with its been ok for a year but said he would no longer buy ford...guess there are unhappy owners of all truck brands. I bought my truck at a used truck dealership and after buying the dodge the saleman even said he wouldnt own a 6.0..LOL guess thats why they push extended warranties. my truck will never go to a dodge dealer only the place i bought it from they sell only trucks and work on only trucks w/diesel being 80% of there buisiness there fast and do it right.

if the 6.0 is so good why the lawsuit? i can find the link if you want to read it?

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

Already read it. It was based on early 6.0l's. Ford went to the 6.4L because of stricter emission regulations. The 6.0l was just a temporary bridge that met the old standards until they could develop the new engine.

I don't think it's the Dodge dealership's fault. They also own the Toyota franchise are were sending people over there because they were so backed up.

I wouldn't buy a 2003 or 2004 6.0L diesel though if they were going to have problems, they've probably been fixed by now.

You love your dodge, I'm happy for you. I love my Ford and wouldn't trade you. That's all I'm saying.

Chevy is the best. Ford might be built tough but, It's not like a rock. Toyota has towing and tranny issues and made in mexico. Buy a chevy truck because they never break down and if they do it is cheap and easy to do. Believe me I worked on dodge, ford, chevy, and Ford was the weakest lookin little parts Ide ever seen.

Who knows, maybe if they used smaller parts they could quit mooching my tax dollars??? I don't really have anything against their trucks but I do believe you pay a premium for a comparable vehicle.

And I'm pretty sure some of those Toyotas are built in California.

A lot of Toyota trucks are built in Indiana too.

chevys have weak ass IFS front ends. they're practically on the bumpstops unloaded. you should be the last person to say anything about how stout ford parts are.
