Default E track installation

anyone install this stuff? everything i have seen is recessed and I am not sure I want to do that. Can I install it on top of my plywood and it still will work?

yep, lay it down on the floor and screw it down. I put a wood screw in every other hole in my enclosed trailer and have never had any problems with it. Only thing with E track is if dirt gets in the track it might get hard for the strap clips to lock in. Use a shop vac and suck the dirt out and should be good to go.

Here is the etrack I installed. You can see it is not recessed. I do use the plastic end cap pieces that prevent the square ends from snagging your foot and tripping you, and because they give it a more finished look. I used lag bolts in every third to fourth hole, and every third bolt is bolted to a frame crossmember instead of just being screwed into the wood. I've never had any problems with the etrack coming loose, and even use it to tie down a 4100 lb Challenger, and a 4300 lb Jeep.
