Just about the time we're due for a new truck.

We've had our 08 Titan for a year now, and I don't have any complaints about it at all. For the first time in 6 years, we have a truck that hasn't been in the shop for warranty work way before anything should be going wrong.

The wife has been hit by an older Chevy (3rd week we had it) and while I had the equalizer hitch on it (just in case) it totaled the Chevy and 2 body shops could find no damage at all to the Titan. Then 2 weeks later, a guy hits her again. No damage to the truck, but their insurance company was such a-holes, I claimed damage to the hitch. Made them buy a whole new set up. Close to 800 bucks.

Still keep the old hitch in there. You never know when the next person is gonna hit her.

I had an F350 with the 2" receiver. I had a guy in a Ford car rear end me. He punched a nice square hole in his fiberglass bumper cover. A guy in a Honda folded his car in half rear ending me and put a scratch in my bumper.

Coming to a showroom near you straight from Mexico. Some of the comments on that page are funny.

"RAMen TOUGH"????

Gee... does this mean the engine and transmission on the Nissan will fail at 80K?

They did a great job keeping the ugly look of the previous Titan. Impressive.

isn't the whole reason for buying a Nissan Titan is so that you don't have to buy a dodge?

Well, we had 2 Dakotas (02 and 04) and both had the same front end problems. Figured, ok full size isn't made in the same place, so lets look at one. Salesman was a total idiot. Showed him an ad that was 3k less than what he had on the lot. Well, they were a few things on his truck that weren't on the other one. That's why it's higher. Fine, can you take them off? Sure. And the price? Didn't change a penny.

Nissan dealer let me drive the truck home so the wife could see it. 100 miles round trip. Made sure it had everything I wanted, and she wanted. And my price was 25k. They sold it to me 24,780. That was without having to haggle over the price.

So to me, it's not so much the truck as the person trying to sell it.

And the guys down at the GMC dealership probably know me because I called GM and complained about their sales tactics. Always nice to have a relative that used to work for GM. I got numbers to call that actually do get a response.

Honestly, I hope Nissan continues to make Nissan. I've had major problems with every "American" made pickup I've had. They have a crew cab with a 7' bed now. If Nissan is anything like they were in the 80s I want one. I had a small 4x4 that I beat the tar out of. I put 147,500 miles on it without major problems. Other than maintenance, a battery, tires, and a muffler, I only spent $75 on repairs. On the Ford F350 diesel I had, I spent a couple thousand on heater core, and engine block heater problems. On my GMC I spent over $3,000 on a transmission and other problems. The GMC is a great workhorse when everything is running right. I had a friend's Sportsman crammed in the 6.5' bed and my X2, ATP, and another buddies Sportsman on the trailer. It pulled it great. Lousy gas mileage but it pulled it great. The Titan with the 7' bed in a Crew Cab will hopefully be my next truck. I won't have to cram my buddies Sportsman in any more.

My older brother had a Dodge made in Mexico and said it was the worst POS he ever owned in his whole life. So he bought another one!!! He should be on one of those commercials that says, "Why do you think they call it dope?" I had a Dodge van that I couldn't keep running and gave that POS to charirty after I bought a Chevy truck. I liked that one so much I bought another Chevy truck. My younger brother also had a Dodge truck and now he has a Chevy truck. We went from all driving Dodge to all driving Chevy, except the drug-addicted idiot who likes spending his money on Mexican trucks, even if they are a POS.

Well as far as Mexican made truck go we get 3x less complaints/warranty claims on those trucks that are American made! I am even willing to bet you Chevy truck is built there (if the VIN begins with a 3 )

I have worked for every truck manufacturer under the sun and can honestly say you will NEVER take any of my Dodge /Chrysler vehicles away from me! Even the POS 84 B-van that my Bro drives it has 800.000 mile 318 that my Bro personally cant kill which in its self is amazing, its kind of like the Energizer bunny keeps going, and going------LOL
