Oooh the 2008 Ford Super Duties will now be available up to the F-450 version (no longer just a chassis cab) with the all new 6.4 liter Twin Turbo Power Stroke Diesel!! 350+ HP and 650+ lb/ft of torque!!!

Here it is.

I wouldn't touch one of those until the 3rd model year came around. I hope they get it right the first time but I highly doubt it.

Too bad the chassis is ugly as sin. At least the photos I saw of it before. Looks like a muscularized Escalade.

That link is screwed up TPR.

All of that work and they still couldn't beat the the power of the Duramax's 360 HP and 650 lbs. torque

The Duramax got another bump this year to 365hp and 660tq. Also the new 6.7L Cummins in the Dodge will have 350hp and 650tq with a new 6-speed automatic.

in feb 2007, chevy will have their new super dutys on the market... from the little pic i glanced at it looked close to a ford SD in styling. which is sad b/c i liked the styling of them now...oh well.

i dont have any specs on them but GM is coming out swinging in 2007. i could be wrong and have been, but i think their quality will be up, they have a 100,000 mile warranty on most things...i hope they turn things around. statistically, the cummings has the fewest recalls, then duramax then the ford is ridiculously high on the 6.0s...although everyone i know with one has never had a problem ( i still would rather the 7.3 for some reason) i hope they get it straight this time. i thik in 2008 or 9 the f-150 get redone again...i know the ranger is due for one.

One other downside that I heard rumours of... was that the new fords will have to have the cab removed in order to lots of the work on the engine compartment. If that is true there goes the larbour on all jobs.
