Hey there everybody, I am about to purchase a toy hauler and was looking for some advice. I will be towing it with a 2001 f-150 5.4 v8. I will mainly use it at the Oregon Dunes and will be towing it from Olmpia Wa, meaning sealevel to about 3000ft above but mainly I-5 and state hwys. We will usually be taking 2 to 4 quads but 2 are minis. So some advise on brand, size, options, cargo room, ease of pull, your tow vehicle used, durability,and PRICE will be appreciated. Also if you need and or use torsion bars swaybars ect. Thanks ed
Hey Quadduck. Im looking for one too. Wwarrior has a supercross 18 ft ultralight, halfton cappable about 15,800, we liked it a lot , lots of options ,gas tank, awning,cd, nice, cool looking grey cabinets and what we thought was a big bathroom compared to others, the bathroom looked big enough for one of us to help our kids shower and give her lots of room to help, all with the toilet in there also .Cargo room enough for our 2 full size and 2 lt 80s.proably enough for three fulls and 1 80. we also looked at fun runners but not sure about those,got posting for help on those but none so far. Not sure on quality and resale value on funrunners.but 20 foot box on sale in chehalis for 11,900 look into it. Just got off of RV.net like nwcutie said to go to and they say lots of good stuff about Fun Runners. Check that site out, need to see if we can get a better deal than asking price. If anybody knows of a good price, please let me know on the 23'
We had the 28 foot funrunner for a year and a half before we moved up. We used it HARD. 6-8 quads stuffed in it, 6 people and a dog, off road, sand-camping, muddy races, Oy! Everything worked for us just great except the hot water heater was twitchy. The trim was pretty cheap, but the as hard as we were, I did not want an expensive toyhauler to start with.

I have expereince with two different units. My cousin has a Coyote and I have a Tailgator.
Wind resistance and weight is everything it seems. My big honking Tailgator is nearly impossible to get to 70mph. I had to sell my Chevy 2500 with the big V8 and get into a 7.3 turbo diesel and that wont hold 70 with less than 90% throttle. I've also learned I have to run with the water tanks empty which helps also. The MPG. sucks - like 8-9. I can get 4 quads in it but its a beech with that much weight. EMpty the Tailgator weighs 7000 pounds.
Now my cousin pulls his 4000 pound Coyote like theres nothing behind him with a gas V8. MPG drops from 12 to 10 with the trailer on. Its a Much smaller trailer but the difference is unbeleivable in being able to maintaine freeway speeds.
The Coyote doesnt carry as much - 2 sport quads side by side is all.
I personally like putting one quad in the back of the truck and two in my trailer. Handles better that way.
Just bought a Weekend Warrior super lite. It's a 2005 FK2100. The empty weight is supposed to be 4400, but haven't had it to a scale yet. Pulled it home with a 2006 Silverado with a 5.3 vortec. I did have a bigger rear end put on the truck (3.73 from 3.23). Didn't have any issues. Loading it up and taking it out this weekend. If you haven't gotten anything by then, I post what I thought about it. I don't own stock in Weekend Warrior or Chevy, so expect an honest review.

Tacoma RV they are in Fife Wa tocamorvdotcom they have 2006 nrg 230 toy hauler fully loaded with gen and fuel station for $22k they also have a 26 ft with extra beds for $25 not bad for brand new fully loaded or you can try craislist for some used ones i just picked up a 2000 thor 21ft no gen or fuel station [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] but its super clean one owner and i got it for $9500 so i cant complain
This is where I went looking for mine. Just got lucky to find a 2005 that was used. Guy bought it and traded it in 3 months later on a 5th wheel. If you buy a new one, keep it for a while, this guy lost over 7 grand on something he had 3 months.
