Default wheel clicking in f250

I also have Weld Wheels with center caps. On my truck, it's the center caps making the clicking noise. I've removed them and the problem went away, put them back on and after a few days, the clicking came back. Only bothers me with the windows are down, as I drive slowly through the neighborhood. Brother has Weld wheels on his truck with no center caps and he has no clicking noise. I'd remove mine, I just don't like the look.

I can hear a clicking noise from my center caps (American Racing wheels), moslty when going over bumps.

Don't bother me a bit though, if it drowned out the wonderful noise of the Powerstroke motor it would be a different story!!!

Clearify something for me please. I was under the impression that you re-torqued the 3 piece wheels, not the lug nuts, and your noise went away. Is that correct?

Thanks for clarifying it up. Maybe try another torque wrench to see if the original one you used went bad.
