PROBLEM SOLVED. The diaphram in the fuel petcock was bad, allowing fuel to flow without the engine running. Changed it out ($70, U can't just buy the rebuild kit for it). Started right up and now it SCREAMS. Hopefully my problems will help someone else down the road.
