Default Which way to turn pilot jet to run richer?

Honda 300EX. I want to run richer. Should I turn it in or out?

Just to be clear, not raggin' on you, but the pilot jet is the small, long jet inside the carb bowl, in front of the main jet. You are referring to the idle mixture screw, and to answer your question, turning in will lean it, out will make it richer. Start at about 1.5 to 2 turns out and go from there. If you have modded you intake or exhaust at all, you may want to go up one size on the pilot jet, it will start and idle better, especially when cold.
