hey guys, I was wondering if there was any easy sure fire way to remove the factory decals from the back fenders on my 2013 z400. with out scratching up the plastic. some kind of spray or something. im not a huge fan of the red,yellow stickers so I though plain black fendors would look less ...cheesy. any ideas?

 

Hair dryer or heat gun and good finger nails! If it's fairly new, decals can come off quickly. Older models may tear and split,but still will come off. I used a heat gun on low temp at the shop. Don't hold heat in one spot too long,just enough to start peeling one end and heat as you pull up slowly. Any residue from the decals can be cleaned up with Goof Off or Goo Gone Xtreme(best IMO) I use it for removing glue from windshield stickers to tar on car bodies.Use it also on the wifes' plastic bodied Saturn Vue with no problems.

 

I use a heat gun and adhesive remover.

 

pressure washer. they will come off in less than 3 seconds.
